Girl Power is a non-profit creating space for underrepresented girls in football. Their annual event runs across two days: a summit of panels and workshops bringing together players, journalists, coaches and club leadership, followed by a tournament day on the pitch.
I produced and shot both days solo, covering video end to end — from pre-production planning and interview prep through to the final graded edits.

Production
- Stage & panel coverage — opening remarks, panel discussions and workshop sessions, [single/two]-camera, with audio taken from a direct board feed and backed up with wireless lavalier and on-camera sound.
- Interviews — 6 interviews with speakers, journalists and club founders, recorded in available light between sessions. Topic-led prompts rather than questions, so each answer stands alone in the edit without the interviewer being heard.
- Documentary b-roll, day one — arrivals, breakout workshops, networking and the room itself, shot handheld and observational.
- Tournament coverage, day two — match action, sideline reaction, team huddles and celebrations.

Post-production
- Highlight film (~3 min) — interview audio carrying the narrative over summit and tournament footage, structured so the summit makes the case and the tournament shows who it’s for.
- Full-length interview edits — each interview cut as a standalone piece for the organisation’s channels and partner use.
- Vertical social cuts (9:16) — short quote-led clips with subtitles for Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Licensed music and a full organised footage library handed over for future reuse.
Built as a content system rather than a single film: one two-day shoot producing material the organisation can keep drawing on for fundraising, partner communications and year-round social.
